Since its founding by Karl Schwabl Senior, “der Schwabl” on the border of Meidling, in front of the gates of Schönbrunn Palace, has retained its reputation as a popular tourist destination as well as for the numerous loyal regular guests from large parts of Vienna.
After Andreas Schwabl was trained as a waiter in Nicky’s Kuchelmasterei and his brother Karl, trained as a cook by the landlord, was already supporting his mother’s fortunes, it made sense that this generation would also continue the family’s path.
With great passion and a great team, the young Schwabl brothers are now able to continue the history of the house.
